AdviceDocs Technologies Pty Ltd Cookie Policy

This policy explains how AdviceDocs Technologies Pty Ltd (“AdviceDocs”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://advicedocs.com.au and in the AdviceDocs application. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They let a site recognise your browser between requests — which is what keeps you signed in as you move from page to page. Related technologies, such as browser local storage, do a similar job without sending anything back to the server. We refer to all of these collectively as “Cookies” below.

We do not sell the information Cookies collect, and we do not use Cookies to build advertising profiles about you beyond the conversion measurement described under Advertising.

Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary — signing in
When you sign in we set a session Cookie named __session, managed by our authentication provider Auth0. It holds your encrypted session and is what keeps you logged in. We also set ad_org_hint, which remembers which organisation you last used so that your next sign-in returns you to the right place; it lasts about 180 days and is a convenience hint, not a credential. Both are first-party Cookies, both are set only after you sign in, and neither is set for visitors who only browse our public pages. You cannot turn these off and still use the application.

Advertising — Google Ads
Our site includes a Google Ads conversion tag (ID AW-18151989189), which Google uses to tell us when a visit that began with one of our advertisements led to a sign-up. Where it runs, it may set Cookies such as _gcl_au on our domain. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policy. This tag is currently restricted by our site’s content security policy and does not load in all builds; we list it here because it is present in our code and may be enabled.

Analytics — no Cookies
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how visitors interact with our Services and to monitor performance. These tools collect aggregated, anonymised data about page views, referrers, devices, and Core Web Vitals (loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability). They do not use Cookies, do not track individual users across sites, and do not store personally identifiable information. Data is processed by Vercel Inc. as a sub-processor on our behalf.

Error monitoring — no Cookies
We use Sentry to record application errors so that we can fix them. It is configured for error reporting only: no session replay, no performance tracing, and no personal information attached to reports. It does not set Cookies.

Booking a demonstration — Cal.com
If you open the demonstration booking panel on our home page, we load a scheduling calendar from Cal.com in an embedded frame. That frame is loaded only when you choose to open it, and Cal.com may set its own Cookies under its own privacy policy while it is open.

Payments — Stripe
Subscription payments are handled on Stripe’s own hosted checkout pages. We do not run Stripe’s scripts on our site, so no Stripe Cookie is set on our domain. Any Cookies Stripe sets during checkout are set on Stripe’s domain and governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.

The Cookie Notice on This Site

The notice that appears at the bottom of our public pages records only that you have seen and dismissed it. It stores a single value, cookie_notice_dismissed, in your browser’s local storage. It is not a Cookie, it is never sent to our servers, and it contains nothing about you. Clearing your browser’s site data for advicedocs.com.au will bring the notice back.

Managing Cookies

You retain control over Cookie usage through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block Cookie acceptance, though doing so may limit your access to certain features — in particular, blocking our sign-in Cookies will prevent you from using the AdviceDocs application. You can typically find these controls under your browser’s settings or options menu. You also have the option to remove existing Cookies from your device, but please note that this might require you to manually adjust your preferences during future visits.
